While at HuffPost, I pitched and produced a deep dive on the concept of “code-switching” how it impacts Black Americans specifically. I brainstormed and researched the topic, booked the expert to breakdown the term and its relevance, led the shoot on the day of production, story produced the piece, crafted an outline for the editor and worked closely with the editor through post-production. The video had a 6.5% engagement rate (more than triple our average), received more than 1.4 million views on Facebook alone (highest performing video of the series at the time it published) and had the highest watch time for the series at the time of publish as well.
